Sowing Seeds of Salvation
The Parable of the Sower (Matt 13) is a FOUNDATIONAL parable that must be understood in order to understand all other parables (Mark 4:13). As we get to the bottom of the meaning of this Parable we will see that it shows us the Path of Salvation. It also shows us how to Overcome our earthly battles. Plus the Parable of the Sower defines for us what it means to Love the Lord your God with all your Heart, Soul, & Strength (Deut 6:4). This world is not a Playground, It is a Battleground! & God needs Warriors. Come learn how to bear “True Fruit”.
The Sheep, The Shepherd, & The Door
We start with an understanding of the Nature of the SHEPHERD, with an eye towards how our Messiah is our true Shepherd (note: there is much more to it than you might think). Then, we explore the Nature of the SHEEP, knowing that our creator calls us to be his Sheep (note: there is much more to this as well). Along the way, we will see the deeper meaning embedded into Psalm 23, and learn its significance for us as true bible believers. We will also dive deeper into John 10, where our Messiah identifies Himself as our Shepherd. Finally, we will identify what is meant by a DOOR (note: it is not your wooden door on a hinge), and how our Messiah fulfills the Door Concept. Come and learn how to enter into His Sheepfold.
Reaching For Messiah
Through this DEEP DIVE into the story of the Suffering Woman (issue of blood), we will look at this account through four principles that are vital to every bible believer. We will discover: Her SITUATION, Her SYMBOLISM, Her SOLUTION, & Her SIGNIFICANCE. Along the way, we will learn how this story is actually nested inside of another story, and why that is important. Come explore how this story shows us the way to biblical Salvation in our Messiah.
Create In me
In Psalm 51, “Create In Me” is David’s Heart Cry. It is at the heart of this Psalm and represents a very poetic and powerful message for each of us. Join us for a Deep-Dive into this Psalm as we look at: (1) the Situation behind the Psalm, (2) the Motivation of David to write the Psalm, (3) and the Structures that David's used to construct the Psalm. Psalm 51 teaches us how to Overcome, and how to Draw Near to God… or better said: “How to Overcome BY Drawing near.” Along the way we will look at how the word for “Mercy” is connected to “Womb”. We will also look at the poetry of Psalm 51, with parallelisms, chiasms, and allusions. Ultimately, we will see the connection between Moses going up Mount Sinai to meet with God, The Priests going into the Temple to meet with God, and David's Cry for Mercy from God. (Sound begins at 1:15 mark)
Be Gruntled
Yes, Gruntled is a Word (the opposite of Disgruntled) and it means being Happy. Now, the world has a meaning for Happiness, that usually involves us getting things the way we want. However, the Biblical Definition of Happy is very different. Come discover what Biblical Happiness truly is... and what it is not. We will discover that the words in the biblical translated as "happy" are actually defining what it means to be "blessed". This investigation has a vital message for us as bible believers. Being Blessed, has everything to do with "walking a righteous path", and "bending the knee" in acknowledgement that you were Created by the Creator. This investigation then leads us to grapple with what God is actually saying to us through the 10 Commandments (which are expounded upon in order in Deuteronomy, chapters 6 to 26) . Turns out, that the 10 commandments are really 2 sets of five, which actually function as pairs. Each pair, then caries a theme and a message that provides an outline of our life as bible believers, ultimately leading to salvation though our Messiah. Come learn how to Be Gruntled.
It's About Time
In this DEEP DIVE into Ecclesiastes, we see how to pursue Wisdom even in today's Trying Times. We will learn how Wisdom can actually be one the "Vanities" that the author of Ecclesiastes talks about. We will tackle the concept of distinguishing the "Fit" from the "Counterfeit". We will seize on how to Measure Our Days as there is "a Time to Live, & a Time to Die". We will investigate what our marriage covenant means through the Jewish folk tale: The River, The Kettle, & The Bird. Then, we will digest the fact that WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING, & KNOWLEDGE are actually three different things from three separate words; and represent the three Levels of Wisdom. In fact, we see these same three words listed together like this throughout the bible. Come learn the difference between these three levels of wisdom, how it shows us the path to salvation in our Messiah. Finally, we will learn how to better spend our Time, by redeeming our Time. It is About Time.
Abide!
We will take a journey into the vineyard to learn what is truly meant by our Messiah, when He tells us to Abide in Him (John 15). This is a foundational parable, with principles that are essential for all bible believers. Also, we will show you the location for your very own Abide Guide, as we discover how we can be truly "Bearing Good Fruit". From there, we will make the connection to 2 Peter 1, where we see an outline of eight Key Action Items for how to Abide; and we will give you a practical example for you to put each of the eight items into practice today. Get ready to Abide!
The Lamp of the Body is the Eye
When our Messiah says we need to “Be A Light,” he is actually referring to our Eye. Notice, he does not refer to our Ear or our Nose or our Elbow, just our Eye. Come on this journey as we take a deep dive into what our Eye represents, and how it “lights our body”. Along the way, we will discover that this parable is actually connected to the “Greatest Commandment”: to Love the Lord our God with all our Heart, Soul, & Strength. Additionally, we see this concept (of the Eye as our Light) in God’s creation as well, when we look at precious jewels through a microscope. We also see this concept, as we look at the creation of humans, when see a Light flash when the sperm meet the egg. Finally, we will investigate how we can get the God’s Light that our eye needs, and how to live out the concept of being a “Good Eye.” Ultimately, it comes down to how well we perceive others according to our scriptures with the Hebrew idea of “Favorable Judgement.”
